Company
Profile
Carpet South, Inc. is located in Doraville, Georgia with easy
access to all parts of Atlanta from I-85 and I-285. The company employs over 30
trained professional flooring installers and currently a 10-member sales force
as well as a support staff. The company has grown steadily over the past 7 years
by gaining loyal customers through excellent service and integrity in pricing.
The year 2000 will require the company to build a new location, its third in 4
years.
Among Carpet South’s notable projects at the current time are
several neighborhoods by Torrey Homes, Inc., the unique John Hope Homes (The
Villages at Castleberry Hill) development by H.J Russell & Co., and a new
community by ECI, The Columns at Sweetwater. The company has several other
projects contracted during 2000.
Tony
founded Carpet South, Inc. in 1993 after performing and overseeing flooring
installation in the Atlanta area for 14 years. His experience includes carpet,
vinyl, ceramic tile and hardwood floors. He is still active in the daily
operations of Carpet South, Inc. and has first-hand knowledge of all products
that the company sells and installs. He formerly studied design engineering. His can-do attitude has enabled Carpet
South, Inc. to become firmly established and respected in the flooring market.
Murray
Timoner, General Manager
Murray has been in the carpet industry for over 30 years and is
seasoned in all aspects of the business. He attended the University of Alabama
in Tuscaloosa before becoming a Merchandising Manager for Federated Department
Stores. He formerly was President of his own company, M.T. Industries, which
manufactured carpet and specialized in multi-family carpet sales and
installation. He was previously employed by Westbury Carpets. He currently
oversees New Construction Sales and purchasing at Carpet South. His vast
experience and industry sources are beneficial to Carpet South and its clients.
Among his customers is Torrey Homes and D.R. Horton, the largest residential
builder in Atlanta and the Southeast United States.
Dean joined Carpet South in 1999 after several years in property
management. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia. During 2000, Dean
will oversee the planned expansion of Carpet South. Currently, the company is
preparing to begin construction on a new warehouse as well as the relocation of
its showroom. To help facilitate growth, Dean has implemented RFMS, a flooring
management system for accounting, inventory control, job costing and scheduling.
His immediate plans are to focus on delivering superior service and financial
incentives to Carpet South Inc.’s customers.
Joseph
Livesay, Sales Manager – Apartment Division
After several years of providing flooring representation
to apartment communities in the Atlanta area, Joey came to Carpet South, Inc. in
1997. His product expertise allows him to assist property managers when making
decisions on their flooring needs. He has long relationships with several Property
Management companies and among his current customers in Atlanta are RAM, AERC, Wesley, Merry
Land, Harmony Properties and Brook Properties.
Carpet South, Inc. is
a member of member of the Atlanta Apartment Association and Greater Atlanta Home
Builders Association. The company
has been in operation since 1993. References,
